Home for the extraordinary
Studio LOHO is a Belgian design office based in Bruges, founded in 2017 by Karel Loontiens and Jo Hoeven.

Working across interior architecture, product, and material design, the studio focuses on natural materials and monolithic forms. From the beginning, bespoke interiors have formed the foundation of the studio’s work — creating a direct link between space, object, and material. This approach allows spatial thinking to be translated into objects and materials that are both functional and enduring.International recognition came with the collection of clay bathtubs — objects formed entirely from a single material. This work reflects a broader philosophy: to create designs defined by material, mass, and presence.Working primarily with natural resources such as clay, lime, and cork, Studio LOHO develops materials and shapes them into objects and spaces with a clear and recognizable identity.Their work explores the relationship between material and use, creating environments and objects that evolve over time and are meant to last.
